Our take on The Village
Rather than keeping one standard mode throughout, The Village shifts between horror exploration, commanding a small combat team, and a solo hostage rescue. The different modes change the player’s role and scenario, while difficulty settings also affect resource availability.
What is The Village?
The Village is a game with Horror, Intense, and Rescue modes, along with difficulty settings that change how readily resources can be found.
In Horror mode, a character enters Villa with a flashlight to search for clues and batteries. Cabinets, drawers, and wardrobes can be searched, while an inventory holds first-aid kits and bandages; the mode also includes puzzles and special mechanics. Intense mode puts the player in command of a small team entering Villa to retrieve a hidden letter from armed men. In Rescue mode, the player enters alone to free hostages after an accident leaves them as the only survivor. Online interactions are available, but the game is not fully multiplayer. Portuguese and English are supported.
