Our take on The Sand Knight
The description gives equal space to the story campaign and the procedurally generated mode, but the campaign is framed as an introduction to the mechanics. The clearest emphasis is on combat, resource collection, and upgrade choices, with the narrative conveyed through a brief conflict premise.
What is The Sand Knight?
The Sand Knight is a twin-stick action game built around bullet-hell combat.
Pilot a mech through battles against soldiers, armored units, and other mechs, dodging incoming fire while using weapons such as a machine gun, flamethrower, rocket launcher, or sword. Collect resources during levels, then choose upgrades between them to change the mech's capabilities. Story events and boss fights appear in the campaign, while optional challenges raise the difficulty and reward resources.
The game has two modes: a linear, story-led campaign that introduces its mechanics, and a procedurally generated mode with increasing difficulty. If the mech is defeated, combat continues once as a vulnerable pilot in a one-hit-death mode. The story follows Sammi and a mercenary amid a conflict on Sansil Prime.
How The Sand Knight plays
