Good fit- Space-shooter players who want vertically scrolling stages and enemy-boss encounters

Skip it if you…

Our take on The Last Archwing
The game centers on quick scrolling combat and short-term upgrades, leaving less room for exploration or slower tactical play. Its one-life hardcore mode also makes leaderboard runs unforgiving: a single run ends when that life is lost.
What is The Last Archwing?
Pilot Chet Brickhouse, the survivor of Earth’s defense fleet, through a vertically scrolling space shooter about fighting the Zarkhan Empire.
Levels combine combat with voiced dialogue sequences. Enemies and bosses drop credits and power-up capsules: spend credits between levels to upgrade weapons, shields, and abilities, and use capsule charges for a defensive roll or a screen-clearing attack. Play alone or in co-op with up to four players, locally or online through Steam Remote Play Together. Several difficulty settings are available. Hardcore mode gives the run one life; afterward, the score is uploaded to leaderboards for comparison with other players.
