Our take on The Few
Its defining structure is the split between running Britain’s wartime production and air-defense network, then directing squadrons during bomber raids. That two-stage campaign turns the Battle of Britain into both a resource-allocation exercise and a tactical air operation.
What is The Few?
The Few is a World War II strategy game about defending Great Britain during the Battle of Britain.
Its campaign combines two forms of play: allocating war production and placing squadrons, then planning patrol routes and combat tactics. When raids begin, squadrons attack incoming German bomber formations through mouse or touch commands. The game includes 8 aircraft types, including the Supermarine Spitfire, while individual pilots gain experience from rookie status toward becoming aces. Players decide what the British war machine builds and where resources are assigned. English, Polish, Czech, Canadian, and New Zealand squadrons can take part in the defense. German command AI changes how each campaign unfolds, so campaigns do not follow an identical sequence.
