Our take on SkyInFlames
Rather than centering on infantry squads or territorial advances, the game makes aerial defense, supply movement, airfield construction, and civilian-risk management the main strategic structure. Its real-time format also replaces the slower turn-based planning found in some military strategy games.
What is SkyInFlames?
SkyInFlames is a real-time tactical strategy game about defending cities and strategic facilities from strike drones.
Players choose Ukrainian or Russian forces and command drone swarms, mobile SAM units, S-300 launchers and radars, aircraft, engineering vehicles, and support groups. Operations include supplying units by ground or air, constructing airfields, repairing equipment, and resupplying ammunition. Limited fuel and missile stocks affect decisions, while fog of war and detailed movement, takeoff, and landing animations shape combat. The current Early Access build offers Player vs AI, Sandbox, and Multiplayer modes. Its stated objective is to preserve facilities, protect troops, and prevent enemy control of the skies. A future PvE mode is listed in the roadmap.

SkyInFlames compared to similar games
SkyInFlames focuses on real-time aerial defense, drone operations, airfields, and logistics, while Men of War: Assault Squad presents large-scale World War II battles with direct control over combat units. Xenonauts uses turn-based small-squad missions against extraterrestrials and includes technology recovery, rather than SkyInFlames' real-time protection of infrastructure from strike drones.
