Our take on The Escape
The store presentation gives substantial attention to planned additions such as a level editor and Workshop support, while the current package consists of two official levels and two official modes. That difference matters for players assessing the amount of available content at launch.
What is The Escape?
The Escape is an online cooperative strategy game for groups of up to four players.
Participants work together through a series of tasks and compete in two modes: Hide and Seek and The Escape. Matches can use private lobbies or public lobbies with a server browser, and players can host a lobby locally rather than relying only on dedicated servers. The game includes two official levels and two official modes. Its controls are described as simple, with hosting or joining intended to take a few seconds. Steam and Twitch integrations are included. A level editor with Workshop support, along with additional modes and other additions, is presented as part of the vendor’s future plans.
