Our take on The Emperor and State
The defining structure is dynastic continuity: the Emperor eventually dies, a prepared heir takes the throne, and national development continues across successive generations.
What is The Emperor and State?
Play as an ancient Chinese monarch in a turn-based simulation combining governance, strategy, management, development, and collection.
Hold court, process memorials, set policies, issue decrees, and appoint officials across seven decree categories. More than 20 interconnected indicators shape national stability and growth. Send envoys, establish trade ties, or begin wars; prepare troops and supplies, then direct military actions during campaigns. Annual and special imperial examinations provide ministers whose abilities can guide appointments. Develop the Emperor's governance, benevolence, valor, and talent through palace activities. Manage court relationships, titles, and heirs, then select and train a successor. When the Emperor dies, the chosen heir takes the throne and the empire continues through successive generations.
