Our take on The Deadseat
The game places its horror inside both a handheld game and a moving car. Items cross from the virtual screen into the backseat, while the enclosed vehicle replaces the open escape routes common in survival scenarios.
What is The Deadseat?
The Deadseat is a horror game set in the backseat of a parent's car during a long drive home.
While the parents argue, the player uses a handheld game for entertainment, but its events begin to reflect reality. Items collected in the handheld game are sent into the backseat and used to defend against a monster trying to enter. The short Main Campaign follows the night drive and its unexpected detour. Hard Mode continues the story with one life, a faster monster, remixed levels, and no mercy. Challenge Mode offers 8 presets or custom settings involving the character, enemy, and environment. The story addresses escapism and a difficult childhood.
