Our take on Nightfall House
The bounce point arrives when the household routine begins producing frightening encounters. Players expecting combat, elaborate puzzles, or a longer horror campaign may find the chore-based exploration and approximately 15–20-minute runtime too limited.
What is Nightfall House?
Nightfall House is a first-person walking simulator set during a late-night routine at home.
After falling asleep, the protagonist wakes and begins completing household chores while sensing an unseen presence. Exploration of the house triggers several frightening events and builds a feeling that someone else may be nearby. The game focuses on visual presentation and aims for an experience similar to a short overseas horror video.
A session lasts approximately 15–20 minutes. Volume, mouse sensitivity, and language can be adjusted in the game. The title was created as the first project of a Japanese student who had studied game production for six months, with an approach intended to remain accessible to players who are not confident with horror or game controls.
