Our take on The Collage Atlas
Rather than treating exploration as movement through a static setting, the game makes observation and motion part of the world’s transformation. Its short structure replaces a conventional extended campaign with a focused journey where environmental change and shifting sound provide the main response to player presence.
What is The Collage Atlas?
The Collage Atlas is a short, focused journey through a hand-drawn picture-book world created with pen and ink.
The player’s presence, gaze, and movement influence the surroundings: forests grow, flowers open, structures appear, and airships take flight. Movement also changes the soundtrack, causing the soundscape to shift during exploration. The world contains dozens of hidden secrets across its floating islands and other environments. The experience explores agency, memory, and hope, and includes vocals by Frankie Rose plus an original illustrated book by John William Evelyn. A typical playthrough lasts 1. 5–2. 5 hours, with additional time available for finding the secrets. The game is intended as a world that can be revisited.
