What is AKAI NOROI?
AKAI NOROI follows Akio, a 39-year-old former sales representative who is drawn into a nightmarish world after returning to his apartment in Tokyo.
The journey combines psychological and survival horror with stealth, investigation, and character progression. Players explore abandoned sleeping quarters, examine journals and environmental details, and investigate an ancient yurei curse connected to the disappearance of previous residents. Paranormal events, hostile artificial intelligence, candles, and a flashlight shape exploration, while the environment changes during longer stays. Three endings are connected to player decisions and can open different areas. The game also includes an objective and event HUD, adjustable visual settings, and configurable controls, with support for PS4 and Xbox One controllers.
