Our take on TERRACOTTA
Rather than keeping puzzle-solving and combat in separate stages, the game divides progression between Yin and Yang. One realm supports planning and environmental changes, while the other emphasizes movement, evasion, and fighting.
What is TERRACOTTA?
TERRACOTTA is an action-adventure game with more than 80 levels and eight bosses.
The player controls the sole uncursed warrior in the Emperor’s Terracotta Army and moves between Yin and Yang to progress through the tomb and afterlife. Yin offers a quiet setting for planning and changing parts of the environment, while Yang focuses on combat, evasion, and movement. Progress involves solving obstacles, activating ancient mechanisms, and using nine phases of Qi. The game combines puzzle-solving with speed and agility instead of relying only on direct force. Its presentation draws on traditional Chinese painting and music inspired by ancient Chinese instruments. The story follows an attempt to free 8,000 cursed fellow warriors.
