Our take on Tachyon Project
The page gives equal weight to the story and the challenge modes, but the concrete structure is clearer for the latter: ongoing enemy waves, score competition, and local co-op. Stealth appears only in some levels, so it is a limited variation rather than the central play format.
What is Tachyon Project?
Tachyon Project is a twin-stick shooter in which Ada, a self-aware software program, searches for answers after being expelled from a test server.
Story mode follows her investigation and unlocks weapons, secondary weapons, and perks as the story progresses. Combat draws on classic shoot-'em-ups, with varied enemies, weapons, and power-ups. Some levels add stealth sections where Ada must choose when to fire to avoid early detection and remain disguised. Separate challenges send continuous waves of enemies and include leaderboards for score competition. These challenges can be played solo or cooperatively with friends in local multiplayer for up to 4 players.
