Our take on SUGURI
Rather than relying only on standard shoot-'em-up waves, SUGURI pairs side-scrolling stages with boss encounters described as having fighting-game-like elements. Its automatic lock-on system also shapes how players handle incoming attacks.
What is SUGURI?
SUGURI is a side-scrolling shoot-’em-up built around seven stages and boss battles with fighting-game-like elements.
An automatic lock-on system targets enemies while players use selectable weapons and power shields against bosses whose attacks can fill the screen. The game presents incoming missiles, laser spears, and beams from multiple directions, making target selection and weapon use part of each fight. Multiple weapons can be unlocked and combined. The vendor also notes a story with characters, illustrated backgrounds, a techno-trance soundtrack, and Steam Cards.
