Our take on STHELL
Rather than following a campaign structure, STHELL frames its combat around repeat attempts, with credits carried into later runs as abilities and permanent upgrades. Its progression pairs escalating enemies and bosses with global and friend-based score competition.
What is STHELL?
Enter a ruined marshland formerly used by Kiratron Industries for robotics experiments.
Each attempt sends the player into combat against malfunctioning machines, with tougher foes and bosses appearing as progress continues. Credits earned in battle can be used between attempts to open abilities and retain upgrades. Different weapons and character setups support varied approaches, while worldwide score tables and player-created rankings track performance against friends. The core loop combines repeated arena fights, between-run character development, and efforts to survive longer against increasingly dangerous mechanical enemies.
How STHELL plays
- 01Between-run upgrades
- Credits collected during an attempt can unlock abilities and permanent improvements for later runs.
- 02Custom leaderboards
- Players can set up competitions with friends alongside comparing results on global rankings.
- 03Rising enemy difficulty
- Runs pit players against increasingly dangerous machines and bosses.
