- Players who do not enjoy replaying stages to improve times may have limited interest in its leaderboard-oriented modes
Our take on Splasher
Rather than treating paint as a visual theme, the game makes it the central platforming system. Color determines how the hero sticks, bounces, and handles enemies, replacing the genre’s more familiar jump-only movement with route planning built around changing surfaces.
What is Splasher?
Splasher is a 2D platformer set inside the Inkorp paint factory, where a young hero uses a splatter cannon to rescue the Splashers from the factory’s boss.
Paint colors provide movement and combat options: they let the character cling to walls and ceilings, bounce upward, and misdirect enemies. Levels contain traps and large security systems, requiring agility, speed, and quick reactions. The game supports replaying stages to discover faster routes and improve completion times. Time Attack and speedrun modes let players compare results on leaderboards. Its setting uses a cartoon style, humor, and unexpected events, while the campaign centers on stopping the factory’s plans and freeing its endangered workers.
How Splasher plays
- 01Color-based movement
- Different paint types let the character attach to surfaces, rebound upward, and manipulate encounters with enemies.
- 02Factory obstacle levels
- Stages combine traps with large security mechanisms that must be overcome through quick movement and reflexes.
- 03Time attack modes
- Players can pursue faster routes and submit completion times to global leaderboards.
- 04Cartoon factory setting
- The rescue story takes place in a humorous animated world centered on Inkorp and its endangered workers.
