Our take on Trace Vector
Fuel doubles as a tactical resource and a time-slowing tool, forcing each run to balance precision maneuvering against the cost of creating more reaction time.
What is Trace Vector?
Trace Vector is a high-speed action arcade game with puzzle elements and vector-style graphics.
Players guide a space ship through geometric hyperspace networks, collect fuel cells, avoid barriers, dead ends, wormholes, and the ship’s previous route, then reach goals to progress. Fuel can be spent to slow time, but running out causes a crash and ends the game. Adventure Mode follows Jason and the Aurora through twelve zones with an evolving soundtrack. Endless Mode generates a continuous level for distance runs and high-score attempts. Levels become faster, more dangerous, and more complex. Expert Mode adds mirrored levels and a faster rule set. Simple directional controls guide the ship through each network.
How Trace Vector plays
- 01Fuel-Based Time Control
- Spending collected fuel slows the action temporarily, while depletion ends the run after a crash.
- 02Two Play Modes
- Adventure Mode covers twelve zones, while Endless Mode generates a continuous course for distance records.
- 03Expert Mode
- An unlockable variant uses mirrored stages and a faster, harsher ruleset.
- 04Evolving Soundtrack
- The music changes as progress advances through the Adventure Mode zones.
- 05High-Score Tracking
- Tables record runs for each zone and allow comparisons with previous performance.
