What is Space Engineers 2?
Space Engineers 2 is a playable Alpha sandbox set in the Almagest System.
Explore planets, moons, and asteroid fields; mine and process materials; manufacture components; and build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Survival involves managing power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health, while contracts, trade, and sector expansion support colonization. A 25 cm grid system allows different-sized blocks to fit together, and projections and mechanical parts support construction and moving machinery. Creative Mode offers unrestricted building, while survival progresses through resource gathering and production. Terrain and structures can be altered or damaged. The Alpha is under active development: co-op, large-scale multiplayer, NPCs, and campaign content are planned for future updates.
