Our take on Micro Annihilation
The miniature-scale setting places battles in homes and offices rather than conventional military terrain, narrowing the range of settings. Development is also temporarily paused, so the project is not currently advancing as an active release.
What is Micro Annihilation?
Micro Annihilation is a real-time strategy game about a tiny paramilitary organization defending against a worldwide insect invasion.
Commanders manage resources, research technologies, deploy troops, and investigate the mysterious enemy. Battles take place in familiar settings such as homes and offices. Bases are created by dropping structures into combat zones, while automated transports carry units onto inaccessible surfaces. A hovering command craft provides a first-person perspective and can push through doors. The military roster includes tanks and jet-powered, laser-equipped gunships. The game also includes lore about the mysterious foe and the miniature civilization. Development is temporarily paused.
How Micro Annihilation plays
- 01First-Person Command
- A hovering command craft provides a direct view of operations and can push through doors.
- 02Airdropped Bases
- Structures are placed in combat areas by dropping them from the air.
- 03Automated Transports
- Transport vehicles deploy troops onto surfaces that are inaccessible to them otherwise.
- 04Technology Research
- Research expands the available forces, including tanks and jet-powered, laser-equipped gunships.
- 05Invasion Investigation
- Players investigate the mysterious insect threat and uncover lore about the miniature civilization.
Micro Annihilation compared to similar games
Creeper World 4 focuses on building an economic base and fighting a fluid enemy across 3D terrain, while Micro Annihilation combines resource management and research with miniature troops in homes and offices. Until We Die centers on defending an underground subway base for about 30 game days; Micro Annihilation instead has players deploy troops around the world and investigate an insect invasion.
