Our take on Spaß Taxi
The defining mechanic is a taxi that rotates in flight, letting it travel through narrow passages and land on ceilings while passengers react to how aggressively it moves.
What is Spaß Taxi?
Spaß Taxi is a retro arcade game about carrying passengers between stations in a flying taxi.
The vehicle can rotate, allowing it to pass through narrow spaces, avoid hazards, and land on ceilings. Across 40 levels, passengers have different preferences: some enjoy loops and speed, while others react badly to excessive rotation. Obstacles include rockets, lasers, moving gaps, buttons, teleporters, and unusual environments. Progress involves remembering passenger destinations, choosing routes, controlling thrust, and selecting the correct thruster while flying upside down in veteran mode.
The taxi uses health rather than separate lives. Damage can be repaired at stations for money or by carrying a mechanic; a replacement vehicle can also be purchased when funds allow. Recorded playthroughs let players race against other players’ ghost runs.
