StrategyIs Solium Infernum worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who enjoy political maneuvering and rival interactions more than direct battlefield combat
- Groups of 2–6 players who want turn-based competition, including games played asynchronously
- Single-player strategy fans who prefer scenario-based play with eight Chronicles and a separate Skirmish mode
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for fast-paced, real-time combat may find the turn-based political structure slow
- Those seeking a light, low-consequence strategy game may not enjoy orders that carry lasting consequences and rival-focused scheming
- Players looking for a military setting may not want a contest between Archfiends in Hell
Our take on Solium Infernum
The pitch leans heavily on betrayal and political mind games, but the listed modes also include eight single-player Chronicles, Skirmish, and a tutorial. Its emphasis is not limited to multiplayer rivalry.
What is Solium Infernum?
With Satan missing, eight Archfiends compete for control of Hell and its throne.
Players command legions, enlist champion Praetors, use artifacts, cast rituals, and make political demands or insults against rivals. Orders have lasting consequences, and competition unfolds both on a map and in Hell’s parliament. The game includes eight single-player Chronicles, a Skirmish mode, and a tutorial scenario called Revelations. Multiplayer supports 2–6 players, either in a single session or asynchronously. Dozens of Infernal Legions include large Titans. The presentation uses dark artwork, with individual paintings accompanying game items.
How Solium Infernum plays
