Our take on Solarpunk™
Rather than centering survival on combat, raids, or competition, this game puts base-building, farming, and cooperative routines at the core. Its main progression leads into player-set sandbox goals, with exploration serving the home-building loop rather than an endless world-discovery structure.
What is Solarpunk™?
Solarpunk is a survival crafting game set across floating islands in a technologically advanced world.
Play solo or cooperatively with up to 4 players. Build and decorate a home base, gather resources, craft gadgets, grow crops, and travel to nearby islands in an airship. Wind, sunlight, and water power systems for the base; changing weather affects electricity production, and batteries can store energy. Transport drones can gather resources, while animals such as pigs can find truffles when treated well.
The world has 2 biomes and is handcrafted rather than randomly generated. The main progression takes around 20 hours, after which play can focus on building, farming, decoration, and personal sandbox goals. There is no story campaign, PvP, or competitive survival mode.
How Solarpunk™ plays
- 01Weather-based energy
- Wind and solar generation varies with the weather, while batteries store electricity for use around the base.
- 02Resource drones
- Transport drones can collect materials as part of the base's automated tasks.
- 03Airship travel
- Each player can make an airship to reach nearby islands and find additional resources.
- 04Animal farming
- Crops provide the main food source, and well-treated pigs can dig up truffles.
- 05Cooperative building
- Players have separate inventories and can either work on shared builds or make individual spaces.
