Our take on Island Beekeeper
The premise emphasizes a serious Earth-bound crisis and the mystery of missing beekeepers, but the playable activities focus on cozy farm building, gardening, breeding, and shared exploration. The survival stakes appear mainly as narrative context around the apiary.
What is Island Beekeeper?
Island Beekeeper is a simulation adventure game about building an apiary on floating islands.
Players raise bees, collect honey, and crossbreed species to create hybrids with different traits. Islands can be expanded with hives, crop fields, homes, and other farm structures. Gardening includes flowers for bees, plus vegetables, fruits, and other plants used for cooking, crafting, and daily activities. A Medocycle provides transport between islands and can be upgraded to access previously unreachable areas. Exploration reveals new biomes, resources, crops, and bee species, along with clues about beekeepers who disappeared earlier. The game supports solo play and multiplayer in a shared world, with players dividing tasks between beekeeping, construction, gardening, and exploration.
