Our take on SOL: Exodus
Players seeking free exploration may bounce off the mission structure, which organizes the experience into eight defined assignments. Those uninterested in replaying missions may also hit a wall when higher ranks and upgrade points become the main reason to return.
What is SOL: Exodus?
SOL: Exodus is an action space shooter set in a future where Earth has become unsafe and humanity searches for a new home after the Sun begins to die.
Players take the role of the Lieutenant Commander aboard the UCS Atlas and fly the UCS HADES fighter through eight missions at locations including Pluto, Neptune, Triton, Uranus, Saturn, and Titan. Combat covers enemy fighters, bombers, drones, civilian-transport protection, and installation defense. Capital ships can be attacked by exposing weak points or turning their weapons against one another.
Voice-acted dialogue reveals the origins of the opposing forces. Missions can be replayed for higher ranks and upgrade points, which improve the fighter. Steam leaderboards, achievements, and remappable controls for gamepads, joysticks, and mouse and keyboard are also included.
