What is Sniper Elite?
Set during the transition from World War II to the Cold War, the game follows an American OSS sniper operating undercover in Berlin.
The single-player campaign contains 28 missions and centers on preventing Soviet forces from obtaining Germany’s nuclear secrets. Shooting accounts for factors including gravity, wind, posture, heart rate, and breathing. Third-person play covers movement and close combat, while first-person aiming handles sniping. Missions use nonlinear gameplay, allowing different actions across repeated attempts. Multiplayer supports up to 8 players over LAN in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Assassination modes. A multi-angle bullet camera shows the result of successful kills.
