Our take on Snik
The direct, single-ball control keeps the focus on route selection and timing, but leaves little room for varied movement techniques. Barrier contact ends a run, so precision carries the cost of a sharp failure condition.
What is Snik?
Snik is a minimalist game built around navigating a ball through hazardous levels.
Click a point on the screen to send the dark blue ball in a straight line toward it. The goal is to collect all golden orbs in a level; hitting a barrier ends the game. Barriers include stationary obstacles, obstacles that circle another barrier, and obstacles that travel along looping paths. Some stationary black barriers vanish after a particular orb is collected. Certain levels also place orange orbs in orbit around the ball, which must be protected while navigating. The gameplay calls for aiming, timing, reflexes, and planning routes around the obstacles.
How Snik plays
- 01Click-to-move control
- Selecting a screen position sends the ball directly toward that point.
- 02Orb collection goal
- A level is won by collecting every golden orb.
- 03Varied barriers
- Obstacles can remain still, circle another barrier, or move along a repeating route.
- 04Orb-linked obstacles
- Some black barriers disappear after a designated orb is collected.
- 05Orbiting orbs to protect
- Some levels require keeping orange orbs circling the ball safe.
