Our take on SMILE SIMULATION
The store page lists many possible threats, including creatures, demons, anomalies, and diseases, but the described gameplay centers on finding smiling wall pictures, changing them, and dealing with pursuing creatures. The broad danger list gives a wider impression than the specified core loop.
What is SMILE SIMULATION?
SMILE SIMULATION is a surreal psychological horror game set inside a dangerous facility filled with rooms, corridors, monsters, and curses.
The main task is to find smiling pictures on the walls and use the Desmile button to return them to normal. The player cannot leave until this task is complete. Exploration also reveals voice logs from Brian, a previous explorer connected to the Lacrimosa facility, and a voice attributed to Vivian, who appears to offer guidance. Creatures have different behaviors, and a blinking mechanic affects creatures that follow the player. The game combines enclosed-area exploration, picture-based objectives, creature evasion, voice logs, and story elements surrounding the Smile Simulation.
