A contract sends the player to eliminate the source of an unnatural fog surrounding the estate. The servants have been affected by a madness tied to cosmic insignificance and attack on sight. Exploration centers on uncovering the manor’s secrets while confronting its violent inhabitants. Combat uses an Iaito cane and Waltham A9 hand cannon, while Vitae concoctions restore injuries. As the truth emerges, the character’s sanity is tested by the fog and the events within the estate. Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity is the first part of the Skautfold series and draws inspiration from Resident Evil 1, Dark Souls, and Eternal Darkness.
