Our take on Skate City
The focus on solo skating across three city settings keeps the experience centered on trick practice and challenge completion, rather than a broader set of activities or shared play. That narrow focus may limit variety across longer sessions.
What is Skate City?
Skate City is a skateboarding game set in locations inspired by real skate spots in Los Angeles, Oslo, and Barcelona.
Players perform tricks using a mouse or joystick, with controller and keyboard options also available. Trick combinations include flips, grabs, grinds, spins, and manuals. The game offers more than 100 challenges, alongside Endless Skate for riding at an unrestricted pace. Skaters can change their boards, clothing, hair, and skin tone, unlock moves, and upgrade abilities. An in-game recording mode lets players adjust the camera, apply a fish-eye effect, zoom, rotate the view, and slow down footage. An atmospheric lo-fi soundtrack accompanies the skating.
