Our take on Driftwood
Many racing games center on vehicles and race competition; Driftwood instead puts a sloth on a longboard and makes cornering, speed control, and tricks the core of each run. Its level-based format also replaces an open-world map or story campaign with focused downhill routes.
What is Driftwood?
Driftwood is a downhill longboarding game starring Eddy, an aerodynamic sloth.
Players steer through mountain routes, drifting around tight corners to manage speed and avoid cars and obstacles. Tricks earn points that unlock boards, which can be paired with different wheels; Eddy can also acquire clothes. The game includes more than 15 levels across unlockable islands, personal challenges, online leaderboards, and peer-to-peer multiplayer lobbies for up to 8 friends. It can be played solo or online, with relaxing music accompanying the runs. There is no story campaign or open world: the focus is on downhill drifting, tricks, and flow. The game does not include freestyle skateboarding tricks.
