Our take on Simpler Times
The meditative framing may suggest a soundtrack-focused experience, but the bedroom also includes painting, photography, books, notes, and puzzles. Its structure remains four seasonal moments in one setting rather than a broad exploration game.
What is Simpler Times?
Simpler Times is an interactive meditation set in Taina’s childhood bedroom as she prepares to leave home.
Across four moments spanning ten years, each linked to a different season, players explore memories and the experiences that shaped her creative personality. The room contains records to play, painting activities, nature to observe, photos to take, books to browse, notes to read, and puzzles to solve. There is no score, timer, combat, failure state, or anxiety-focused challenge. Narration develops through observation and introspection, while a lo-fi soundtrack accompanies Taina’s memories. Chapters can be explored at an individual pace, and the moments can be revisited.
