Our take on Escape Academy
Instead of centering its adventure on combat or open-ended exploration, the game presents challenges as a school curriculum. Escape rooms, exams, races, and other tests form the main structure, while the campus and faculty provide the setting around them.
What is Escape Academy?
Escape Academy is an adventure game set in a school where students train as escape artists.
It offers over a dozen handcrafted escape rooms for solo play or two-player co-op through local or online splitscreen. Challenges include defusing a bomb, completing tests set by the Academy’s super A. I. , racing through puzzles, climbing a flooding tower, and painting a monument under time pressure. Players can explore the campus and meet faculty members, some of whom have secrets. The Tournament of Puzzles adds three arenas, three game modes, alternate routes, secret passages, replayable courses, and power-ups. Its modes include puzzle races, a connect-three challenge, and scavenger hunts; solo play is also available in the tournament.
