Our take on Ritual of the Moon
Instead of building toward continuous action or extended exploration, the game divides its narrative into 28 brief daily rituals. Its central structure treats reflection, memory, and emotional choices as the main mechanics, with the ending determined across the lunar cycle.
What is Ritual of the Moon?
Ritual of the Moon follows a witch sent to the moon after the Earth’s Council discovers her powers.
Over 28 days, each session takes about 5 minutes and combines reflection on her past, meditation at an altar, a memory activity, symbol drawing, a mantra, and a choice affecting Earth’s future. The game records these decisions as a mood tracker, with six possible endings based on the player’s feelings across the lunar cycle. Its visual material comes from scanned handcrafted objects, including embroidered reflections and wood-burned mantras, alongside paint, clay, fabric, paper, dried plants, and other media. The narrative centers on loneliness, power, healing, exile, and the woman the witch loves but cannot return to.
