Our take on Gloom and Doom
Instead of following a straightforward heroic quest, the story makes its central task an attempt to kill an unkillable girl. The wraith and his target must work through their shared predicament, while choices determine whether the world is saved, doomed, or left with another outcome.
What is Gloom and Doom?
Play as Gloom, an ancient wraith trying to enter Heaven by killing demons, and Wynona, a depressed girl who believes she is destined to end the world.
Gloom’s final task is to kill Wynona, but she cannot die. Their situation draws them into conflicts involving agents of Heaven and Hell. Together, they confront loneliness, frustration, and a repetitive cycle while questioning their destinies and the fate of the world. Choices made throughout the story affect which conclusions become available in the final act. Seven endings include saving Wynona, earning Gloom a place in Heaven, or causing the end of the world. The presentation uses hand-drawn artwork with bold outlines and heavily shaded forms.
