Our take on Similo: The Card Game
The sticking point is interpreting indirect clues: each card can suggest either similarity or difference, and the guessers must decide what to discard. Removing the secret card ends the game in a loss, so groups that have trouble reading those clues can hit a wall during the deduction rounds.
What is Similo: The Card Game?
Similo is a cooperative guessing game with local pass-and-play mode.
A clue-giver plays character cards to suggest similarities or differences from a secret card, while the other players remove cards from a group of twelve. The team has five rounds, with the number of cards to discard increasing by one each round, starting at one. If the secret card is discarded, the team loses; if it is the only card left after the fifth round, the team wins. The included Animals deck has 30 cards. Fables and History decks are available as in-app purchases, and decks can be combined. Online multiplayer is described, but online services were suspended starting September 30, 2022; offline modes remain operational.
