- Players drawn to surreal organisms and submerged ruins rather than realistic environments
- Players who enjoy controlling creatures as part of puzzle-solving rather than relying only on a diver
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a bright, colorful setting may not enjoy the monochrome underwater world.
- Players looking for a journey centered on climbing routes and a tower ascent may find this exploration structure unsuitable.
- Players seeking an adventure focused on conventional combat may not find the puzzle-and-exploration emphasis a match.
Our take on SILT
The defining mechanic is possession: the diver takes control of surrounding sea creatures and uses them to solve environmental puzzles and move deeper into the abyss.
What is SILT?
SILT is an underwater puzzle-adventure set in a surreal abyss.
The player controls a lone diver searching the depths for forgotten mysteries. Sea creatures can be possessed to solve environmental puzzles and travel further into the darkness. The journey passes strange organisms, unexplored ruins, and ancient machinery beneath the surface. Encounters with giant deep-sea creatures are part of the expedition, and their power can awaken a dormant force at the abyss’s center. The game presents its underwater world in monochrome, with imagery drawn from artist Mr Mead’s sketches. It also includes an epilepsy warning about flashing lights and moving patterns.
