Our take on Stardiver
Rather than centering its adventure structure on rapid traversal or constant combat, Stardiver places the player in a slow underwater investigation. Ship piloting, external swimming, resource work, environmental clues, and narrated missions share the campaign with shooting encounters.
What is Stardiver?
Stardiver is a slow-paced, story-led sci-fi adventure set on a submerged planet.
The player investigates the disappearance of a research AI ship in the year 3076 while exploring a 30 km² underwater world. Ship controls include third-person and cockpit perspectives, while swimming outside the vessel uses a first-person view. Across 20 missions, the ship can be upgraded with mined or discovered resources, and the game includes crafting, gathering, clue collection, and combat against wildlife, AI ships, and five bosses. The ship AI, Zera, narrates the journey through more than 800 lines of dialogue. The game also includes 77 collectible objects, 35 achievements, color-based environmental areas, and a screenshot mode. Its story addresses AI and climate change.
