Our take on Sidestep Legends
The store presentation foregrounds ability combinations and comparisons to established horde-survival games, while the actual structure centers on short, repeated runs across four maps. Permanent upgrades and curse options add progression and difficulty, but the listed scope remains focused on combat repetition rather than a larger adventure.
What is Sidestep Legends?
Sidestep Legends is an action roguelite built around dodging spells fired from multiple directions while defeating waves of minions and confronting bosses.
Runs last about 20 minutes. During each run, level-ups offer active abilities and passive improvements, while selected combinations can trigger additional combo upgrades. Eight playable characters begin with different passive abilities. Four maps introduce increasing difficulty, and a skill tree provides permanent improvements between runs. The same tree also includes curse upgrades for raising the challenge. The game includes three leaderboard types for every map. Its structure focuses on repeated runs, character choices, ability combinations, and managing increasingly large groups of enemies while moving around incoming attacks.
