ActionIs SHINORUBI worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Bullet-hell fans who want dense projectile patterns and strict movement challenges
- Arcade players who enjoy score multipliers, leaderboards, and repeated runs
- Shoot-'em-up players seeking several difficulty levels and alternate rule sets
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a forgiving campaign may hit a wall when enemy fire fills the screen and only the ship's center can be damaged.
- Players seeking a long narrative adventure may find the five-stage classic structure and boss-focused mode too concentrated on repeat runs.
- Players who prefer exploration or non-arcade progression may find the stage-based shooting format too narrow.
Our take on SHINORUBI
The bounce point arrives when bullet density turns survival into precise center-point movement. Players who rely on broad collision margins or want to recover casually between encounters may stall at the first sustained barrage, especially on the higher difficulty settings.
What is SHINORUBI?
SHINORUBI is a vertical bullet-hell shooter built around fast arcade combat.
The player's spacecraft can take damage only at its center, requiring careful movement through enemy fire while destroying targets. Classic mode contains five stages, three starting lives, five difficulty settings, and optional credits. Boss Rush focuses exclusively on boss encounters across three difficulty levels. Additional modes alter the rules with shields, shot cancellation, weapon switching, extended loops, collection objectives, or rising difficulty. Players can select from three pilots and spaceships with different weapons and traits. Scoring uses multipliers, stars, medals, bombs, and a FEVER bar that clears enemy shots while improving weapons and bonuses. Steam leaderboards, achievements, keyboard and controller support, widescreen presentation, and customizable action buttons are included.
How SHINORUBI plays

- 05Scoring and FEVER
- Multipliers reward survival, enemy destruction, star and medal collection, and limited bomb use, while a full FEVER bar cancels shots and improves bonuses.

- Separate worldwide and personal score tables accompany Steam achievements for the game modes.
- 07Custom control options
- Keyboard, joystick, arcade controller, and Steam Remote Play are supported, with configurable action buttons.
