Our take on Evorales
The focus on bullet-time control and score chasing leaves less room for broad exploration or varied mission types. Its replay value comes mainly from mastering aircraft, routes, secrets, and endings rather than from a large campaign structure.
What is Evorales?
Command one of four aircraft in a steampunk shooter set in an alternate version of 19th-century South America.
The game features 12 illustrated stages, each ending with a boss, along with a concealed extra level. Players weave through enemy fire while using Alma and Ultra modes to manage bullet time; the number of foes and projectiles on screen also influences the slowdown. Blue ammunition is stronger against biological targets, whereas yellow rounds are more effective against mechanical ones. Arcade runs offer branching routes. Scoring systems, achievements, hidden secrets, and endings determined by skill and discoveries provide additional variation. The central objective is to defeat a gnu-demon and its forces.
