Our take on Shining Resonance Refrain
Refrain Mode places two additional party members in a second-playthrough route because of spoilers. That choice preserves the initial story’s reveal structure but delays access to some of the remaster’s added character content.
What is Shining Resonance Refrain?
Lead Yuma Ilvern, a captive who can transform into the Shining Dragon, in a fantasy RPG conflict against an empire exploiting ancient dragons.
With help from the Dragoneers and Sonia, princess of Astoria, Yuma joins the fight to save Astoria from imperial dominion while confronting the strength within him. Refrain Mode adds Imperial Princess Excella and Dragonslayer Jinas as party members for a different experience, but the vendor recommends saving it for a second playthrough because of spoilers. The remastered release also includes extra cosmetic items and side quests. The story follows Yuma from captivity to his alliance with Astoria’s defenders.
