Play as an ancient evil seeking to destroy a fantasy world or bring it under shadow.
Manipulate nobles, nations, agents, and their suspicions, fears, and knowledge. An enthralled noble can be guided toward the top of the aristocracy, while agents move between cities, evade hostile agents, and spread madness and shadow. False evidence can lead to an opponent’s exile, and civil wars can weaken armies. Other systems include building a hidden Deep One army beneath the waves. Several strategies can be combined to create different forms of apocalypse, including freezing the world, creating a shadow empire, consuming all flesh, or transforming selected people into Deep Ones.
