SAMURAI WARRIORS 4 DX presents the Warring States period through 55 playable officers and a story split into regional accounts and a unification narrative.
Battles support large-scale combat, with Hyper Attacks for closing distance, Rage mode for powered-up attacks, and Musou Frenzy Attacks as finishing moves. Players can switch between two battlefield characters in real time and issue plans to the inactive character. Enemy morale changes battle conditions: completing objectives and defeating standard bearers lowers it, while stronger camps have higher morale. Chronicle Mode adds requests, officer encounters, item collection, and character creation. The deluxe edition includes more than 150 previously released downloadable items, including costumes, weapons, customization parts, scenarios, and music.
