Taking place three years after Atelier Ryza, this role-playing game follows Ryza and her companions through fresh encounters that culminate in a significant choice.
The DX edition introduces Empel and Lila as playable characters and adds a side narrative about their attempt to locate an Underworld gateway. Players control Lila across known areas and a newly added map. Custom Combat allows monster selection, level adjustment, behavior changes, battle-speed control, and other settings.
Fi accompanies Ryza during field exploration, broadens the sensor map, and replenishes health after fights. The release also contains extra maps, recipes, clothing, greater basket and container space, more graphics settings, altered event requirements, enhanced Spirit Beast functions, interface updates, visual improvements, and bonuses for linked saves from Secret series titles.
