Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a guided story or a sequence of main missions may find the structure too open-ended.
- Those who prefer tightly scripted encounters may find independent unit activity and locally varied missions less predictable.
- Players seeking multiplayer matches may not find a fit in this single-player game.
Our take on Vietnam War
Rather than building its structure around a story campaign, Vietnam War uses locally varied missions and a battlefield where other units act independently. That shifts the focus toward squad orders and responding to changing conditions across the open map.
What is Vietnam War?
Vietnam War is a single-player, first-person shooter set across a large open area spanning North and South Vietnam and parts of Laos and Cambodia.
Players choose U. S. or Vietcong/N. V. A. forces and can order squad members to follow, stay, attack or change formation. Radio calls request airstrikes, artillery, reinforcements and supplies. Missions respond to conditions in the surrounding area, with no continuing plot or sequence of primary objectives. Other forces operate and engage independently. Activities include patrolling, defending bases and villages, locating tunnels and fortifications, and interrupting supply lines. The game offers weapons, aircraft, land vehicles and boats, as well as survival elements such as eating, drinking, traps and wildlife.
