This 2D roguelike centers on fast melee combat, quick movement, and local co-op.
Its randomly generated tower changes with each ascent. During a run, players battle enemy hordes, upgrade weapons, find equipment, and level up their hero. Melee weapons have different benefits and drawbacks. Spellbooks contain a set spell and a limited number of charges; charging one increases its effect but uses charges faster. Level-up orbs can alter spells, while skill orbs can grant abilities or be used as weapons.
Boots change dashing capabilities. Challenges award cards that persist between runs. Cards have benefits and drawbacks, and players can combine them before a run to alter its rules. The game offers only light persistent progression and has a punishing difficulty curve.
