Our take on Rogue Voltage
The circuit-building system trades immediate simplicity for experimentation: combat requires assembling modules, directing energy, and managing timing rather than selecting from a fixed skill set. That structure gives the game a technical planning focus, but adds decisions before and during each action.
What is Rogue Voltage?
Rogue Voltage is a roguelike built around wiring circuits to create combat skills and machines.
More than 150 modules can generate, amplify, store, or transform energy into effects. Each turn requires choosing how to spend or save energy, such as firing a blaster, using a healing potion, or charging a battery for a later move. Timeline manipulation lets players shift turns forward or backward, evade environmental hazards, and alter enemy order. Runs pass through strange biomes with procedurally generated enemies that become progressively more dangerous. Between runs, a camp provides building upgrades, permanent progression, module storage, collection expansion, and custom character creation.
