What is Ancient Savo?
Ancient Savo is an open-ended survival and resource-management game set in Eastern Finland in 1200 CE.
Manage a homestead by farming, hunting, fishing, foraging, building, and crafting tools, clothing, pottery, charcoal, and iron goods. Allocate family time between routine needs and planned work while balancing hunger, cold, weather, injuries, and fatigue. Children learn skills from their parents and later contribute to the household. Adult offspring can remain with the family or establish new homesteads, allowing play to continue across generations. A yearly market offers bartering for tools and farm animals. The game includes mouse controls, customizable hotkeys, switchable 2D and 3D map views, choice-based text stories, and modding through XML files.
