Our take on UnReal World
Rather than centering a fixed questline or class build, the game treats ordinary survival as the main structure. Fishing, trapping, trade, shelter construction, and injury management become the ongoing play, with character goals left open to player choice.
What is UnReal World?
UnReal World combines turn-based roguelike roleplaying with survival simulation in an Iron Age setting inspired by northern Finland.
Players choose one of nine cultures and decide how to live, without selecting a fixed character class. Possible paths include fishing, hunting, trapping, trading, hermitage, and adventuring. Procedurally generated forests, mires, mountains, and waterways support exploration and living off the land. Activities include tracking animals, setting traps, fishing, gathering, cooking, crafting, trading, and constructing shelters or log cabins. Skills range from cookery and hideworking to herblore and tracking. Combat and hunting use tactical options, while injuries affect specific body parts instead of relying on hit points. The game also includes supernatural elements, detailed wildlife behavior, and moddable crafting, construction, and flora.
