Our take on Rogue Party 2
Instead of treating death as the end of a run, the game turns fallen players into temporary ghosts that can still affect combat. Its randomized 20-level structure also replaces a fixed dungeon route with changing encounters, loot, and bosses.
What is Rogue Party 2?
Rogue Party 2 is a cooperative action RPG adventure for one to four players.
Each run moves through 20 randomly selected levels containing changing enemies, bosses, chests, and items. Players gather gold, potions, weapons, armor, gems, and items with randomly assigned prefixes that can stack and trigger effects. Eight potions are selected from 17 types each game, with their uses revealed through experimentation. Defeated players return as ghosts until an exit is found or the current boss falls, allowing them to knock enemies back or interfere with allies. Town visits after bosses offer healing, gem enchantments, potions, and item upgrades. Hard Mode adds altered enemy behavior, an alternate ending, special rewards, and a multi-stage final boss.

- 03Potion Discovery
- Each game selects eight potions from 17 types, with effects revealed after use on characters, enemies, or allies.
- 04Prefix Item Effects
- Items can receive one of 32 prefixes, whose bonuses may stack up to three times and interact with other prefix effects.
- 05Boss Gems
- Bosses drop gems that receive one choice from four randomly offered prefixes, and multiplayer deaths do not reset them.
- 06Ghost Support
- Players who die can knock back enemies while waiting for an exit to be found or the current boss to be defeated.
- 07Town Visits
- After each boss, the town offers healing, gem enchantments, potion purchases, and item upgrades.
